Puppy Jump Start:  4 Week Course, $120, Age: 8 Weeks to 14 Weeks
This five week fun-filled course will help you build a great relationship foundation with your puppy and help you teach your puppy good social skills.  It will lay the groundwork for “focus”, and help you to set up your home for success.  You will learn important guidelines and techniques for potty training, nipping and mouthing, puppy household manners, appropriate play behaviors and toys, as well as some beginning obedience.  This group course will also give you the opportunity to socialize your puppy with other puppies during each class and provide lots of photo opportunities for you and your new family member.

Basic Obedience:  6 Week Course, $180, Age: 5 Months and Up
Establish a healthy, long-lasting relationship using reward based techniques.  In this course you will learn canine-owner responsibilities, basic obedience commands (Focus, Sit, Down, Come or Recall, Wait, Leave-it, Stay, and Loose-leash walking).  You will also learn effective dog friendly techniques for dealing with problem behaviors like jumping and counter-surfing.

Canine Good Citizen:  5 Week Course, $180, Age: 6 Months and Up
Take your dog through this fun-filled class to learn good manners and earn the AKC Title of Canine Good Citizen.  This class teaches sitting politely for petting, loose-leash walking, accepting a friendly stranger, sitting or standing nicely for grooming, walking politely through a crowd, sit and down stay on command, coming when called, behaving politely when encountering another dog, having confidence around distractions and medical equipment, and good behavior during supervised separations.

Your whole family is welcome to join Tracy Arnold and Montana C. Hayes at Playful Paws for our popular DOG TRAINING programs.

Our training programs go beyond the mechanics of obedience commands. We provide a safe and effective reward-based training program that teaches you how to train and care for your dog utilizing leadership skills with an understanding of animal behavior, developmental stages and genetics. This type of dog training program helps you learn how to develop an optimum relationship with your dog. This relationship allows your dog to see you as a safe, strong, dependable, fair and consistent leader that your dog wants to obey.

* Puppies must have a minimum of: 2 sets of puppy shots, bordetella and negative stool sample

Board and Train Program

Board your dog with Playful Paws and receive training during their stay! Your dog will attend daycare during the day and will receive 1 ½ hours of training each day. You also have the option of having your dog go home with Montana each evening, weekend and holiday for additional in home one-on-one training. With either option, your dog receives extra training and field trips on weekends and holidays. Prices include the total of Daycare, Boarding and Training in a 24-hour cage-free or home environment.

BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM

Playful Paws along with professional dog trainer, Montana C. Hayes from Big Sky Dog Training have combined their efforts to provide your dog with two unique and personalized reward based Board and Train programs.

HOME BOARD & TRAIN PROGRAM: During the day your dog will spend time at Playful Paws Doggie Daycare, a 6,000 Sq. Ft. indoor/outdoor “cage free” facility. Your dog will have a personalized and supervised day of play and socialization with training objectives and lots of hugs. Your dog will also participate in a minimum of one group training class during their stay. Every evening and on weekends and holidays, your dog will live at home with Montana where he or she will receive several hours of personalized training including field trips.

DAY CARE BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM: During the days and evenings your dog will spend time at Playful Paws Doggie Daycare. Your dog will have a minimum of 1 1/2 hours of focused training throughout the day and have a personalized and supervised day of play and socialization with training objectives and lots of hugs. Your dog will also participate in a minimum of one group training class during their stay. On weekends your dog will go on field trips and receive more extensive training from our trainer; Montana. He or she will sleep overnight at Playful Paws with our staff members. They have a king-sized bed, dog beds, satellite TV, chew bones and a human companion to fill their every need…. at Playful Paws, a 24 hour cage-free boarding facility.

The first step is to meet with our trainer, Montana. She will design a training program that meets your training objectives and the obedience and behavior needs of your dog. Montana and Tracy’s Training programs create an environment where you and your dog are learning in a positive and fun environment. We go beyond the mechanics of obedience commands and strive to provide a safe, effective, high-quality reward-based training program. Our programs help you, the owner; develop the optimum relationship with your dog. This relationship allows the dog to see you as a safe, strong, dependable, fair and consistent leader your dog wants to obey.

Pickup and delivery service is available. Your dog will receive a complimentary bath before going home. Upon returning to your home your dog will be happy to see you and be excited to share all of his or her experiences while they were with us.

What to Bring to Class

Please have the following with you and your dog for use in training sessions. Please wear comfortable clothing, tennis or regular shoes, no sandals and do not feed your dog right before class.

• All pets need to bring proof that their dog has had a Rabies and Distemper vaccination within the past year, Bordatella (kennel cough) and negative fecal sample within the past 6 months and an application of a flea and tick prevention.
• 6' and 20' flat leash-The expandable lead will not work.
• Collar with ID tag
• Head collars, harnesses and prong collars are acceptable in class. No choke chain collars will be used in training class
• Soft treats
• A toy your dog likes
• Bed or Mat

Supplies are available in the Playful Paws retail store for your convenience
