Tracy, when I picked up my little Grendel monster today, a couple of members of your staff told me that they noticed a small lump behind one of Grendel’s shoulders.  I’ve already scheduled a vet visit for him for tomorrow.  At any rate, the purpose of my email is to sincerely thank you and your staff.  The quality of the care that you folks provide never ceases to amaze me, and for that you not only have my undying loyalty, but appreciation as well.  When you folks, who only see him a couple days a week, can notice something that I, who spend every day with him, did not, well…..again, Thank you.

Sincerely,
-Scott & Grendel and Lindsay

To Tracy, Deanna, Laura, Mary, Jason, Jillian, Tim, Jeff, Andrew, Marilyn and the staff at Playful Paws,

I was heart-warmed by your card and read all of your wishes to me a few times. It gives me comfort knowing that Moby was in the care of so many good people that loved him and Giselle.

When I showed up at Playful Paws last October, I was tentative and quite not sure this would be a good experience. I had already tried a facility in Schaumburg, and though it was a nice place and people pleasant and professional, my concern was just that the whole experience of daycare in Chicago was not what I wanted for my two Brittany’s. All of these trepidations had nothing to do with you, the facility or anything of the sort. I was just doused with culture change, what with the traffic, rude drivers, noise, not great lodging, and no place to really run my dogs. The core of all this was that I just didn’t want to be here (for a myriad professional and lifestyle reasons) and that worked its way through the mud of actually trying to work and get care for Moby and Giselle. All of you made me feel differently.

I tell you this because it is testimony to your professionalism, dedication, love and affection for all the dogs at Playful Paws and as you have all led me to believe(and I do), especially Giselle and Moby. In the seven weeks I was here last fall, I came to know some of you better than others, but all of you are to be thanked. I felt then as I do today that my dogs could not be in a better place while here in Illinois. So I want to thank all of you once again for giving my dogs a reason to be happy to come to daycare and keeping them safe and comfortable in my temporary absence.

With fondest regards,
Dan

Hi Tracy:

It is a sincere pleasure to tell you that I couldn't be happier with anyone else taking care of my beloved Chey Chey.  In my mind, I cannot think of a better, more loving and fun place for my beloved Cheyenne to spend his days than at Playful Paws.  Cheyenne is now two years old.  He has been going to Playful Paws for a little over one year.  My husband and I both work full time, and it is difficult to devote the time we would really love to devote to a young, energetic Golden Retriever.  By having Cheyenne go to Playful Paws during the day, it has enabled us to give him the energy release he needs, but more importantly, he receives hours and hours of constant attention and genuine love from the employees.  In addition, he has made many, many furry friends.  It warms my heart to bring him there in the morning and without hesitation, he runs into the arms of Laura or one of the other employees, and then he is off to play with his doggie buddies.

Playful Paws is a wonderfully clean, happy, fun-filled and safe environment for my baby Chey Chey and I highly recommend it to anyone who truly loves their dog.

Respectfully,

Miriam Feldman

Tracy,

I wanted you to know that you and your staff have been the most supportive group of people throughout this whole ordeal. I called Playful Paws in a panic many months ago because of the difficult times Cassi was going through, and from word one I received nothing but hope and encouragement. You have an excellent screening process for those you choose to care for our beloved pets. This has been without a doubt the most difficult time of my life, and I cannot express the gratitude I have for the support I felt today, and everyday when I picked up Cassi. You all are like family to me. My first choice with no hesitation for who I would want to care for Cassi in the future is and will remain someone from Playful Paws who has grown to fall in love with her as I have, she deserves nothing less. I have in the past and will always recommend Playful Paws with great praise to anyone I run into with the need for daycare. You are the best.   Thank You doesn't say enough.

Dear Playful Paws Staff,

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude to every one there. Not just for the care you all showed Flynn but for the love and affection he received there. I am very very lucky to have found a place where all the staff is wonderful.

Flynn came to me as a scared, clingy dog with many issues. He had separation anxiety. He had difficulty getting along with other dogs. He frightened people. Many of the owners I came into contact with at the Chicago dog parks were incredibly condescending and even down right mean to him. I once had a woman ask if he was “house-trainable” because he looked so wild and dumb. I shook it off but it hurt. There were many days when I cried, thinking “What have I gotten myself into. I’ve taken on a dog that is nothing but trouble”.

The years have proven everyone wrong. He has turned into my best friend and my “baby boy”. He still doesn’t like rabbits, squirrels, and cats, but he no longer sees other dogs as a threat. He is most certainly housebroken, and he is not destructive at all. In short, he is the dog I always wanted as a companion.

For everyone there at Playful Paws, thank you, thank you. Everyone loves him and that means a lot to me. There are still people who dislike Flynn. I have relatives that have told me that he is a “vicious killer” but I just don’t know it yet. It means a tremendous amount to have people know Flynn and think he is great. It makes me feel like he has a home away from home, where he doesn’t have to be different, where he is loved just as he is.

Flynn’s life is an inspiration to me. He came from a terrible start but he remains loyal and loving. He looks scary but he is really just scared. He puts on a brave face. That old funny saying is true “I wish I were more like the person that my dog thinks I am”.

He will continue to live a wonderful life in California. I will send pictures and send updates via e-mail. San Francisco here we come.

Love,

Sylvia (and Flynn)

My dog Jersey has attended Playful Paws daycare regularly for going
on two years now and I cannot say enough about the staff and facilities
For those of us where our pets are our family, it is difficult to find
a place to take your dog where they receive the same care as they do at
home.  I feel as though Jersey is not only taken care of, but that he
is loved and it's not just business.  He leaps out of the car each
morning and is clearly excited and happy to be there.  Also, on nights when
he is boarding while I’m traveling, it is such a relief to know he is
safe, comfortable and having fun. Thank you to everyone at Playful Paws!

My dog, Woody, a Newfie, has been going to Playful Paws for almost 4 years.

She is a "velcro" Newfoundland so she had separation anxiety at first, but by going 3 days a week to daycare she has overcome this problem. She has grown to love her daycare experience and gets very excited when we drop her off. She loves the attention given to her by the staff who give her lots of tummy rubs. Also she loves the kiddie pools and the water hose to keep cool in the summer.

She has many friends at daycare, especially a dog named Max P. who is half her size. I look forward to reading her report card to see who her playmates were for the day. I would highly recommend Playful Paws for anyone who works or just wants their dog to have a nice environment during the day to socialize.

Thanks for the great service!

Linda, Steve and Miss Woody Woods.

About Playful Paws,

It’s an awesome place to hang out!  Lots of fun and games, good treats, plenty of lovin’ and needed quiet time.  Clean as a whistle too, and that’s important to me.  What more can I ask for…pizza, nah.  Weekends, perhaps?  Yesssssss!

Love,

“Annie” Schulz  & My Dad, Alan

My 1-year-old boxer, Dudley, has been going to Playful Paws for the past six months.  During that time, I’ve noticed a tremendous positive change in his behavior.  He has a terrific time playing all day with the other dogs, and I’ve also noticed improvement in his basic obedience and social skills.  The active environment at Playful Paws has made him a happier, healthier dog.  I highly recommend Playful Paws for anyone who works all day and wants their dog to have fun and safe companionship during the workday.

Hi!  My name is Plato and I've been coming to Playful Paws for about three months now -- and I just love it!  I've always been a little nervous, especially around a lot of people or other dogs, and my person thought it might help me overcome this a bit.  Boy, did it ever!  There are so many fun things to do and play with there, and lots of space to run around in.  I've made so many new friends that I can't count them on all my paws.  Now, I don't get nervous anymore and I actually look forward to meeting new friends...and some of them are really cute!  The people who work there are also great...they hand out treats, join in the fun, and share their love all day long.  They don't even mind if we give them kisses.  Gotta go now.  I've played all day and I'm exhausted.

Wags and Kisses,

Plato (Male Boxer, almost 2)

Hello,

I just wanted to share our thoughts on your daycare in a more permanent way.

Tommy is our 5 month old Bichon Frise who has been attending the Playful Paws daycare and training for about 1 month. We are so pleased to have found such a wonderful place for Tommy to go. Although he currently only goes to the daycare once a week I feel so good when I drop him off. He runs in to greet everyone and his happiness is clear.

Everyone who works at Playful Paws has been so caring and just wonderful with the dogs. Myself and Tommy are always greeted by name which instantly makes us feel at home and welcome there. The dogs are set up with a great routine of dog interaction, human interaction, treat time, and nap time and all of the dogs seem so happy. Meeting other owners when they pick up their dogs also tells me how wonderful the place is. The positive attitude of the whole team is absolutely refreshing. During training classes if puppies have an accident I have never heard a complaint about coming to help clean it up and in fact the opposite, there is always a smile and a "no problem". the place is always clean and nice and well taken care of. A great place to be a dog!

We love getting the report cards and the feedback on how Tommy is doing, it not only provides us with positive reinforcement but also helps us to know what training areas we should focus on. Ashlee the trainer that is associated with Playful Paws is wonderful, practical and we love her classes.

Additionally I had the pet grooming services there and my handsome boy greeted me with a smile and in spite of him being only so good... everyone was willing to work with him again!

Thanks you for the wonderful service you provide and I hope that Tommy can continue to come and enjoy Playful Paws for many years to come.

Thanks again,

-Sarah and Tommy Kantner
